History
STA Worldwide, Inc.
was founded in 2000, focused on providing
Information Technology (IT) Consulting and Staffing solutions to mid-market
Manufacturing and Distribution companies. Initially organized as
Strategic
Technology Associates Int., LLC, the preliminary engagements focused on IT Strategies and the application of IT
to enhance business value and operational efficiencies. As engagement activity
increased and became more complex, the business was perpetuated by building on a
core group of top level, experienced resources augmented with a team of highly
qualified, specialized contract resources. This staffing model became
increasingly appealing and desirable to our larger Counterparts in the industry.
If fact, so much so, that STA’s business model shifted from the founding mission
of providing IT Consulting services to that of providing IT Recruiting and
Staffing resources to mid and larger size Consulting and Professional Services
organizations. In the U.S. these services are delivered under the corporate
name, STA USA, Inc.
Background
STA’s roots
are firmly planted in both the consulting and recruiting industries, having been
so for many years. STA's Founder and CEO is Mr. Shel Greenberg, an IT Consulting
industry veteran whose background includes partnership roles at both Andersen
Consulting (now Accenture) and Grant Thornton (now Hitachi Consulting). From the
start, Mr. Greenberg utilized his industry contacts to bring on professional IT
recruiters, developing a recruiting team that understands and utilizes both “old
school” recruiting techniques and the newest, most innovative sourcing
technologies. This dual orientation provides a unique perspective and insight
into understanding and servicing our client requirements.
